My Fifteen Minutes of Fame

I got an email last week from my friend Summer Wilson; we had worked on several independent movies a few years back. It was a pleasant surprise to see a message from her and even more of a surprise that her friends, Ross Thomas & Sabina Luu from www.129films were looking for a gay asian male to play a flamboyant director of sales for a spinal tap style corporate video. Of course I came into her mind immediately.

I'm, like, once the producer and director see the audition video shot from my cracked mini iPad, the gig is up. But in another terrific twist of fate, they both loved me, they quickly put me on the call sheet, and immediately the wardrobe person contacted me for my inseam. Gulp, this is serious! I better memorize my lines, pronto!

The filming took place at the Producer's Loft. I finally got to match faces to names on the call sheet. Everyone (cast & crew) was professional, fun and relaxed.

Thank you to everyone, especially Summer, Ross, Sabina, Nick Seuser, Joe Mendoza and Vic Ferrer for making my fifteen minutes of fame so much fun! Here's more behind the scenes shots here from 1/29 Films.
