Believe it or not it's my first time photographing celebrities on the red carpet. I didn't know what to expect but I was ready for anything. It turns out that it was a lot of fun and Amy Adams is a really really really sweet person. In the photo above, I was quietly sitting on ground and she would occasionally look at me so I could get a 'usable' image of her that can be published. Amy's movie 'Arrival' directed by Denis Villeneuve was one of the opening premieres at the Mill Valley Film Festival.
Of course, I got a chance to see 'Arrival' and I got to shoot the Q&A too. It was such a great performance by Amy and the rest of the cast. What a beautiful and riveting movie. A Must See!!
Aaron Eckhart was the Spotlight at the Mill Valley Film Festival in the film 'Bleed for This' directed by Ben Younger. I watched him talked to the press about this movie based on a true story. I felt his steel blue eyes staring at me and his warm smile as he spoke so passionately about this amazing film.
Then there is Edward James Olmos directing the cast and producers on the red carpet and pointing to which camera to look at including Director Marty Sader's of 'Monday Nights at Seven'. Of course, everyone is wondering 'Who' is Vanessa wearing. She looks stunning! And then I shouted 'Who are you wearing Marty?!?!' And suddenly I hear Edward James Olmos and everyone laughing and giggling.
It was a mad house when Ewan McGregor arrived to his directorial debut 'American Pastoral' at the Smith Rafael Film Center. Luckily for me, I was only 2 feet away from Ewan and I'm happily snapping away with my camera and I didn't have to worry about security dragging me away (this time). And yes, Ewan is even more handsome and charming in person!
I want to thank the Mill Valley Film Festival for giving me the opportunity to be a photographer at this awesome event. And a special thank you to Courtney Buffington and Greg Garthe. I hope to work you guys again next year!! WooHoo!!
